Your job


The Group HSE-Q manager is responsible to assure operating quality and as such develop the corporate operating manual and to assure proper documentation of the agreed processes. In the role of group HSE-Q Manager, you will assume the responsibility for the HSE area management in the four operating areas. You will develop, initiate and determine that all operations will be carried out as per the agreed safety and operating standards, in line with the group safety policies.


The Group HSE-Q Manager will define and document the proper Policies, Processes and Procedures. Furthermore, the HSE-Q team is organized in a matrix constellation. The Operational Area HSE Managers will take the lead for all safety matters for their fleet. This means that by subject, one of the area colleagues will be the project leader for his interest or specialism, which contributes to the group HSE-Q policy and quality. The Group HSE-Q Manager can be project leader as well or will be coach to the area colleague. The responsibility of reaching project targets in general is up to the Group HSE-Q Manager.


For new tenders, you will support Business Development & Sales team in preparation of Health and Safety documentation.


Internal auditing by project and special analyzing the cause of incidents and accidents with a high rate or extraordinary impact is part of the job. The HSE team will carry out standard analysis of accident and incident statistics, identify trends and suggest improvement plans.

What type of applicant are we looking for?


  • A completed higher vocational education (Master degree), in Occupational Safety or relevant discipline
  • 10 years of relevant working experience in a Maritime environment
  • Experience as (internal) certified auditor
  • An excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both verbal and written
  • Good report writing skills
  • A drive to get results
  • The ability to work as a central driver/service provider to the areas
  • A good understanding of processes and excellent analytical skills
