These ports are major junctions where ships from all over the world bring their cargo and passengers or come to pick up cargo for further transportation. Your job

The Business Administrator provides an efficient business and office administration with a wide variety of responsibilities. The candidate assists with administrative support to all UK functions.

Key tasks:

Commercial support

In this role, you will administrate and process commercial data using relevant applications. This means, create and register invoices and ensure timely forwarding to clients and support in the organisation of client events.

HR support

In conjunction with HR, you are responsible for booking all training courses, maintaining training records and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the client and company. You will also book crew travel arrangements and distribution of same to relevant personnel.

Administrative support

In the administrative working field, you are responsible for providing Administration services for all UK operations and Management team. As the personal assistant to the General Manager, you will assist in preparation of reports and presentations and act as central communication point for offices and vessel crew.

Furthermore, you are responsible for ordering, issuing and record keeping for all company PPE, office stores/equipment, Maintenance Materials and cleaning materials for the vessel.

When necessary has a flexible approach to working hours to fullfill the tasks and responsibilities listed above.

What type of applicant are we looking for?

  • Secondary vocational education in relevant discipline
  • 0-5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Passion for the maritime industry
  • Good command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Very proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Power Point, Excel and Word.
